Foxtail Catering & Events: Uniform, Grooming & Conduct Standards

For Staffing Agency Staff

Please utilize this page if you are working an event for Foxtail Catering through a STAFFING AGENCY or STAFFING PLATFORM (Jason Ly Staffing, Pared, Total Success, etc.). This page will give you the basic information that you will need to successfully work at one of our events!

We want you to be successful when working for us. We want to give good feedback about you and your abilities, so please review this so that you know our expectations. This page will give you the basic information that you will need to successfully work at one of our events!


NOTE: THIS IS OFF-SITE CATERING

First and foremost, please know that we are an off-site catering company. We expect all staff working for us to engage in the tasks related to off-site catered events, this includes assisting in the building and setup of the event space and off-site kitchen.

Staff may be asked to do various functions of their designation. Servers should be willing and able to engage in all front of house functions including bussing, passing assp, serving seated guest, food running, station assistance and additional front of house tasks. Culinary staff should be willing and able to engage in all back of house assistance including prep, plating, garnishing, frying and additional back of house tasks.

All staff, regardless of designation, are expected to clean up after themselves, assist in cleaning up the event space and assist in loading items back onto truck and vans. Please do not sign up for this shift if you are unable or unwilling to engage in these tasks.


GROOMING

We are a high-end catering company and we expect all staff representing Foxtail Catering, LRE Catering or 415 Catering to look impeccable. You are not just a representation of us - you are a representation of yourself and your professionalism. Please keep this in mind when getting ready for our events.

We DO NOT ACCEPT the following. You may be sent home, and may not be permitted to work for us if you show up with any of the following:  

  • NO unnatural hair colors (no pinks, purples, blue, green, etc.,)

  • NO extreme hairstyles - Hair MUST be off collar (ponytail or bun OK)

  • NO facial piercings for servers or front of house staff

  • NO scraggly facial hair. Facial hair must be clean, trimmed and well groomed

  • NO dirty nails or unnatural nails. Short length and a neutral color are OK

  • NO unnatural make-up (no bright lips, bright eye colors, bright blush or facial glitter)


UNIFORM

  • Please make sure your uniform items are CLEAN and PRESSED. DO NOT arrive in items that are dirty, winkled or otherwise unacceptable. You may not be permitted to work your shift if you show up in a uniform that does not appear professional.

  • Please make sure shoes are CLEAN and POLISHED. Your shoes must look like the shoes below. DO NOT wear ballet flats, open toe shoes, heels, boots or any other shoe besides a black dress shoe that can accept shoe polish (no cloth shoes). Examples are below.

  • Please make sure uniform items adhere to the standards that are listed below & look like the pictures below. A uniformed look cannot be achieved by our staff if individuals do not adhere to our uniform standards. Our clients have this expectation of us and we intend to deliver this to them.


ARRIVAL

  • Please arrive ONTIME and contact the catering manager who is onsite (you should have been given their name and number before the shift). You should be at the venue, ready to work at your START TIME - not on your way or parking. Staff will be signed in once they are ready to begin their shift.

  • Please do not wonder around the venue or location. We work in a lot of places where they do not like staff to just walk around if they are not sure where they need to be. If you are lost or unable to locate us when you arrive, please reach out to us OR your staffing agency. Please do not bother desk or security staff at the venue.


PERFORMANCE & CONDUCT

  • Please be sure to behave in a manner that is professional and courteous to our clients and guests. If you are not great with clients and guests, please do not sign up for our events.

  • Please treat our managers and your co-workers in a professional and respectful manner and please follow the directions they give you. Please ask questions if you are unsure of anything. Please do not assume anything you have not been told.

  • Please DO NOT use your cell phone or pull out your cell phone while working. Please only use your cell phone during your break period. If you are steady on your cell phone, we may ask that you sign our and end your shift.

  • We prefer that staff do not smoke ANYTHING while working with us, but if they must, you must be AT LEAST 50 ft away from the venue/event. Staff CANNOT return to work / their shift smelling like smoke. Staff may asked to leave of they smell heavily of smoke. Staff may not smoke any cannabis while working with us, regardless of doctor recommendation. 

  • Please treat all venues, venue property, rental items and company property with respect. 

  • Please make sure you sign in and out on our timesheet, in addition to any signing in or out procedures you need to follow for your staffing agency.

415 Catering is one of our sister brands. You will be TOLD that you are working a 415 Catering shift in our instructions and we will ask you to wear this uniform. If you are not specifically told that you are working a 415 Catering shift and need this uniform, please do not wear it!
